TECH GLOBAL PARTNERS AND ACCUVIA CONSULTING AGREE TO MERGE, CREATING A WORLD CLASS CONSULTING FIRM FOCUSED ON THE RETAIL, FOODSERVICE AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRIES
EAST GREENWICH, RI – January 8, 2010 -- Tech Global Partners, Inc. and Accuvia Consulting, Inc. announced today an agreement to merge their businesses to create a world class consulting firm focused on the retail, foodservice and hospitality industries. The combined company will operate under the name Tech Global Partners, Inc. and will be headquartered in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Accuvia Consulting will operate as a division of Tech Global Partners focused on the foodservice and hospitality industries. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Accuvia Consulting was founded by Robert (“Rob”) Grimes in 1994. Accuvia Consulting assists foodservice and hospitality operators and suppliers select systems, set IT strategies, represent owners in IT efforts, identify trends, and resolve complex technical integration and technology compliance strategies. Accuvia Consulting has worked with over 70% of the Fortune 500 foodservice and hospitality companies, almost 25% of the top quick service restaurant organizations as well as the two largest global franchise organizations headquartered in North America. The addition of Accuvia Consulting strengthens Tech Global Partners’ service offerings in the hospitality and foodservice industries.
Tech Global Partners was founded in 2007 by Michael Hess. Tech Global Partners is comprised of senior-level executives, experienced in retail strategy, operations and technology consulting. In early 2009, Tech Global Partners acquired Consumer Consulting. The Consumer Consulting team specializes in the consumer and driving customer value for the retail and consumer products industries. They added a strong understanding of the retail supply chain and its relationship to the overall business for both single-channel and multi-channel operations.
Rob Grimes will join Tech Global Partners’ executive team as the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Hospitality & Foodservice Industries. In this new position, Mr. Grimes will manage the existing foodservice & hospitality clients and will oversee the strategic growth of these segments for Tech Global Partners. Michael Hess will remain President and CEO of Tech Global Partners.

The new organization will be structured around two operating units that build on the company’s expertise in the retail and foodservice & hospitality industries. In addition to Michael Hess and Robert Grimes, the management team will include Mark Ozawa, Robert Pring, Peter Franczak and Anthony Latona.
